Hauganfjæra Camping

Only an hour's drive from Trondheim find Hauganfjæra Camping. The campsite is idyllically located at the tip of Frosta peninsula. Frosta is a typical farming village, and is referred to by many as "Trondheim's kitchen garden".

Frosta also plays a very important role in Trøndelags history. This was Norway's oldest parliament - the Frostating had its seat. In the immediate vicinity of the campsite you will find the medieval church Logtun as well as the small island of Tautra with the remains of Tautra Monastery.

Hauganfjæra Camping has become a highly sought after camping for permanent seats, and we have therefore expanded areas for permanent seats in recent years. Together we now offer 250 great places for our regular guests - all with sea views.

It was the father of Torleif which started by camping here 50 years ago. In the beginning there were tents and small campers. Nowadays we see that the caravans are just bigger. The vast majority wants nail tent right away and stock up fine pitches. It's Torleif which currently operates camping with his family.

Activities

Frosta also offers great opportunities for the hiking enthusiasts and anglers.

For the kids, we can tempt with a 4H farm nearby. We also have loads of other akrtiviterer for kids, with jumping pillow (summer), play areas and not least a small sheep family who visit us every summer.

Haugan Stua

Hire Local with modern kitchen with a capacity of max 50 people. Suitable for small events such as meetings, business, seminar and meeting / conference. Possibility of Broadband and satellite channels.

We bestow grant and can arrange catering and dining.

In high season we Haugan Stua itself to various events. Besides this there is the possibility of renting Haugan Stua with or without apartments to such gatherings, weddings or a jamboree.
