Solvang camping

Solvang camping and campsite is idyllically located in the heart of the Altafjord. The place is situated in a natural forest, with a silence that surrounds the place.

The campsite has a main house with rental rooms in the basement, a newer service building, two large campsite cabins and nine smaller camping cabins. The place is usually rented out for events such as weddings, baptisms, confirmations and camps. ​In addition, there is ordinary camping on site.

Solvang camp & camping is owned and operated by Normisjon region Nord. The campsite was inaugurated in July 1971 at the national youth conference of Indremisjonsselskapet. In the early 70's, the owners decided to open the place as a campsite in the summer, and had service houses and cabins built on the plot. Since then, Solvang has been a campsite during the summer months, and a campsite for the rest of the year.

camping

Solvang camping is open in the months of June, July and August and September. We have 30 caravan pitches with electricity, an almost unlimited number of tent pitches and otherwise rent out rooms and cabins with different standards. Shower, WC, water and emptying station are available at the service house on site. There are also kitchen facilities and living areas.

Cabins

The cabins at Solvang Camping come in several different sizes and standards:

Cabin 1-2 - Large campsite cabins. The two large camp cabins can accommodate 21 and 17 people respectively. Each cabin has four rooms with 4-6 beds. Rooms have dining tables and chairs, closets and sinks. The four rooms have shared WC in progress.

Cabin 3-6 - Camping cabin 4 people. We have 4 camping cabins with 4 beds. The cabins have a dining table and chairs, hob and fridge. The cabins have no water or WC.

Cabin 7-10 - Camping cabin 3 people. We have 4 newer cabins with family bunk with 3 beds. The cabins have a dining table and chairs, hob and fridge. In addition, there is a small balcony at the front with tables and chairs. The cabins have no water or WC.

cabin 11 - Camping cabin 5 people. 2-room camping cabin with 5 beds. The chalet has a dining table and chairs, hob and fridge. The cabin has no water or WC.

Rome

The rooms are located downstairs in the main house and can be rented separately or as duplicates:

Doublet - Room 1: The room shares an entrance with room 2. 3 beds, dining table and chairs, as well as shower and WC adjacent to the room.

Doublet - Room 2: The room shares an entrance with room 1. Family bunk with 3 beds. The room has a closet, dining table and chairs, as well as a shower and WC in connection to the room.

Doublet - Room 3: The room shares an entrance and common area with room 4. Family bunk and single bed with a total of 4 beds, dining table and chairs, cupboards, shower and WC in connection with the room. Hotplates and refrigerators are also provided in the rooms.

Doublet - Room 4: The room shares an entrance and common area with room 3. 2 beds, cupboards, dining table and chairs. Shower, WC and cooking facilities are also connected to the room.
