First Camp Gol – Hallingdal

In the heart of the Hallingdal shopping center you will find First Camp Gol - Hallingdal, which is known for its versatile range of activities in both summer and winter.

The river that winds through the valley and the campsite, which is surrounded by mountains and beautiful landscapes, offer spectacular nature experiences for the whole family! Here you can go for a walk in the mountains, explore the surroundings by bike and fish in Hallingdalen, but that's not all: The destination also has a pool area with a fun water slide that is very popular in the summer season.

At the campsite, you can stay in a cabin, apartment or camping site with a caravan, mobile home or tent. In the area, you always live close to nature, and several of the cabins are furnished with wooden panels on the walls to give a real cabin feel.

Gol is located in the middle of the country and is therefore a perfect starting point for many different excursions. The center of Gol is only a few minutes away, and here you will find many nice shops and restaurants.

The Tropicana water park is a popular destination among families with children, and for those interested in skiing, there are several ski areas nearby. Among other things, you will find Skagahøgdi Ski Center just 10 minutes from the campsite.

Waste sorting At Gol camping, waste is sorted: glass/metal, fluorescent tubes, disposable grills/combustible waste. We are working to expand waste sorting even better

Good There are barriers on both sides of the campsite

Shop/kiosk Open during the reception's opening hours, which in the first part of the year are January-April Monday - Sunday 09:00-16:00

The destination is staffed The staff is present during opening hours

Electric car charging Electric cars can be charged at Shell, which is 600 meters away: along national highway 7. There are also several options in the center, which is 2,5 km from Gol camping

Cardiac arrest can be found at the reception

Public transport We are located approx. 1,5 km from Gol railway station. There is a bus stop at the entrance to the campsite (unfortunately, the buses do not run very often)

Emptying station Found near the sanitary facilities. It is also marked on the map that guests receive at check-in

Wi-Fi Free internet, we make you aware that the internet is stronger in some zones than others

Opening hours The destination is open all year round. Our swimming pool, Hallingstampen, opens around mid-June and is open until the start of school
