Welcome to a unique nature experience at Trollveggen Camping. You will find us in the beautiful and wild Romsdalen, 10 km south of Åndalsnes, in one of Norway's most powerful areas. Here you can relax in magnificent natural surroundings, while enjoying the view up to Trollveggen on one side, Europe's highest vertical mountain wall, and majestic Romsdalshorn on the other.

Trollveggen Camping is terraced, with flat, nice areas for tents, campers and caravans. As a guest with us you can choose where you want to park. Whether you choose our marked plots (100 - 150 m²), with power outlets (10 Amp), or if you want other areas inside the campsite, we feel confident that you will find a nice place. Fixed ground, easy and good access.

Camping Norway East - West


Trollveggen Camping is one of the campsites which is affiliated with Camping Norway East - West. This is a round trip that can give you some of the best that southern Norway can offer of nature experiences and activities. The campsites are in suitable daily stages, with enough time for good stops for experiences along the way. Here you will find an overview of all the sites included in this camping chain.

Cabins

Built in the period 4 - 2000, our 2004-star cottages are equipped with everything you need for a successful holiday. All cabins were given new bathrooms and kitchens in 2019.

Romsdalen has a rich range of activities and sights that you just have to experience while visiting here. Our host has in-depth local knowledge and can put you in touch with both guides and tell you what to do when.

Trollstigen

Trollstigen is just a few kilometers northwest of Trollveggen Camping and is Norway's most visited tourist route (RV 63). Trollstigvegen has been a tourist magnet ever since the road was opened in 1936. In the steep mountainsides, Trollstigvegen makes 11 turns upwards to Stigrøra (858 meters above sea level), surrounded by the mountain peaks Bispen, King and Queen. In some places the road is carved into the mountain, in other places it is built up with stone walls.

Raumabanen

The tourist train takes you on a fantastic train ride from Åndalsnes and up Romsdalen, along the Rauma river. From the train you can enjoy the view of Trollstigen, Trollveggen, Rauma River, Vermefossen, Kylling Bru and many other nice places.

Tuen Vineyard

The world's northernmost winery, 14 wine cellars with their own wines from nature's fruits and berries.

Romsdalseggen

Put your feet in one of Norway's most beautiful mountain worlds. Up on the Romsdalseggen you have the orchestra space to look out over the Romsdals mountains, with the Troll wall, Romsdalshorn and Vengetindene as the most significant.

Fishing in the Rauma River

Rauma River was previously one of the country's best salmon and sea trout, with annual catches of over ten tonnes of salmon. Unfortunately, the stocks are greatly reduced today, mainly as a result of large numbers of salmon lice in the fjords and the salmon parasite Gyrodactylus Salaris From summer 2011 the sea trout is therefore protected, while salmon fishing can continue.
