The start of it all

Johan Falkberget
Johan Falkberget is one of Norway's most famous writers. He was born in Rugldalen in Røros 1879 and died in 1967. Falkberget began his career as a miner, and many of his novels depict just workers and working conditions in the mining community.
Falkbergets big break came in 1923 novel "The fourth watch". A few years later came"Christi Sextus". When he was 80 years old he published four volumes novel night Bread with protagonist An-Magritt as one of the vikrigste characters.
Should Børson Jr. is another book written by Falkberget. This came out in 1920 and has been both dramatized for theater and filmed. The most famous version is probably the Norwegian theater's production in 1972 Rolv Wesenlund starring as Should Børson Jr. The play was later made into a film.
