First Camp Frösön

A few minutes from Östersund, overlooking Storsjön, is First Camp Frösön - Östersund. An excellent place to enjoy life, tranquility and the beauty of nature.

The campsite is open during the summer season. The cottage village is open all year round.

Here you are offered a rich range of activities in both summer and winter. And who knows, you might catch a glimpse of the Great Lakes monster during your stay. Several ancient paths and hiking trails start from the campsite, giving you the opportunity to explore both history and Jämtland's magnificent nature. Here you can also enjoy a round of mini golf, boules or a game on the basketball or beach volleyball court, and for the little ones there is a playground.

On and near the campsite

If you choose to stay at the campsite and relax, to say the least, it is an experience in itself to just enjoy the wonderful view of Storsjön. If you prefer to fill your days with excursions, you can reach central Östersund with shopping and restaurants in just a few minutes. Near the campsite you will also find Frösö golf course, Frösö Fun Park and Frösö observation tower. The living museum and the historical land of Jamtli are also well worth a visit. In the summer, Storsjön attracts swimming and those who want can also catch waves in Surfbukten. In winter, it is instead popular to take a trip with ice skates when the ice has settled in place or to visit the Winter Park.
