Fagernes Camping

Fagernes Camping is a year round, 4-star campsite is idyllically located at Strandefjorden surrounded by evergreen pines.

High standard cabins and apartments, great camping area for caravans, campers and tents. The village of Fagernes is located in 5 min. walking distance from the park. The campsite offers boat and bicycle rental, has its own beach with diving tower and water trampoline and a great playground with challenges for children of all ages.

Fagernes town center is within walking distance of the camping park. This puts many motorhome tourists greatly appreciated. Dagligvarehandelen can easily be done on foot, while the vehicle is parked in the area. The regional center Fagernes has great shopping, nightlife, cafes, cinemas, bowling, restaurants, etc. Experience the atmosphere in the village town!

Valdres Folk Museum is our closest neighbor and holds 104 measure of Storøya with almost 100 houses and facilities in addition to approximately 20.000 objects. The museum is Norway's fourth largest open-air museum. At the museum, you can tour in multiple languages, experience folk music and dance, real valdres cost and much more.

At the campsite are Strandefjorden and Neselva with good opportunities for fishing for trout, whitefish and perch. In Valdres you will also find many other good fishing lakes, both in the lowlands and in the mountains. Trout is mainly the most fished species.

Directly from the square you can sit on the bike and ride along the old but now paved, railway line which runs until Bjørgo station. This is one of many great bike rides Valdres can offer.

Crofter Kviteberg is a popular goal for our guests. The last cottager on Kviteberg moved in 1936.Gå in crofters the footprints and discover the magnificent views, 1km from camping park.

Valdres provides good and lasting experiences!

In winter, Valdres offers miles of groomed cross-country trails, several downhill slopes, dog sledding and other exciting winter activities. In summer you can cycle, fish in quiet mountain lakes, hike in Jotunheimen, paddle or ride. Caravan, mobile home and tent

At Fagernes Camping, the passing tourists are important, and the most idyllic places are therefore reserved for this group. 65 spaces with asphalt, paving stones and grass were completed in June 2018. New mobile home parking near the city center completed in June 2020!
