The Tisleia river winds through the campsite and is one of Norway's best mountain trout rivers. Tisleidalen has a varied wildlife both summer and winter. If you are interested you will be able to experience the king of the forest, the moose, or small game such as reefs, hares and forest birds up close. In Tisleidalen there is still active farm operation with livestock that goes free during summer grazing. Certain centers welcome guests and serve soft drinks.

If you want to go hiking or cycling in the woods and mountains we have many nice routes with their own tour map. The terrain is varied and you will find small idyllic ponds, waterfalls, potholes, trails or mountain peaks.

If you want other activities there is a short distance to eg. water park, folk museum, equestrian center, stave church, go-cart course and golf courses.

Everyone wants to experience winter in their diversity. Tisleidalen has something for everyone, whether you want to use the alpine slope or the ski slopes in the forest and mountains. The mountain areas around Vasetdansen Camping offer both short and long trips. Miles upon miles of forests and mountains with marked two-track ski trails present challenges for both the amateur and the active.

Cabins

Camping cabins, small: We have 3 modernized, camping cabins, each of approx. 18 sqm. Here you will find 3 beds (2 + 1) and kitchenette with necessary equipment. These cabins have no water supply - but they have a short distance to the sanitary facilities.

Cabin +: Camping cabins of approx. 25 sqm. Here you will find 4 bunk beds in their own bedroom, kitchenette with necessary equipment, sofa and TV. These cabins have no water supply - but they have a short distance to the sanitary facilities.

Vulture and the Falcon: 2 new freestanding cabins each with 2 bedrooms. Living room with fireplace, cable TV and large dining table. Kitchen with necessary equipment, inlet water. Bathroom / shower room, tiled floor, heating cable in floor. Size approx. 50 sqm.

The chair: An old timber seatbuilding that has 8 beds in 2 bedrooms. There is no water, but there is a kitchen with the necessary equipment, cable TV and not least a large fireplace room. The cottage is approx. 80 sqm.

Vaset Koia: Vasetkoia is completely renovated and looks inviting and leaking with new kitchen and bathroom, lovely bedrooms and living room with classic panel combined with delicious natural stone, fireplace and large flat screen TV.

Vertical cabin: Cottage with 2 apartments. Sleeps 5 in each apartment in 2 bedrooms. Kitchen with necessary equipment, inlet water, shower and toilet. The bathroom is tiled and has a floor heating cable. Sofa corner with cable TV. Size approx. 43 sqm.

Shop

The store has most of what you need for a lifetime: Groceries, beer, mineral water, freshly baked breads, cakes, mutton butter, real goat cheese, Valdres cheese, moose sausage and practical items such as propane, paraffin and more.

Kro

The inn is a nice meeting point, which you can also use for private events. Our à la Carte menu has specialty dishes of moose. Pizza is also on the menu: Feel free to bring home. We serve beer, wine and mineral water

Rambling

The varied hiking landscape in Valdres is perfect for cycling enthusiasts of all ages. Here you will find everything from quiet and undulating winding roads to steep and spectacular mountain crossings. It can also be nice to combine the bike ride with hiking, fishing and fishing trips, as well as exciting food and cultural experiences. Stølsvidda is a very nice area for cycling and here it is nice to bring the kids. There are good dirt roads without the long and steep hillsides. Here you might see the cows grazing, the horses running and stopping at one of the open stools.
