Randsverk Camping

Randsverk is located 750 meters above sea level, centrally located in relation to the mountain, Jotunheimen National Park and many activities. We are located right where the county road 51 and 257 meet. At Randsverk you will find the mountain's junction with a great cafe, well-stocked shop, cabins in all categories, tourist information and campsite with brand new sanitation facilities and attractive pitches.

We are the natural starting point for diverse holiday experiences and at the same time the logical stopover for a snack, purchase and information. 3 National Parks are located around Randsverk. They convey an unparalleled and unforgettable magnitude of Norwegian nature with idyllic valleys, expansive mountain areas and deep glaciers. Here you will find the highest mountains, the most beautiful hikes and the greatest experiences. Besseggen, Glittertind and Galdhøpiggen are all around us and it is a short distance to Jotunheimen National Park directly from Randsverk.

The shop has a rich selection of groceries, ice cream, soda, chocolate and candy. Fresh fried bread all day in the main season. Rolls to order. Lots of fishing gear - always with great deals. We have the largest selection of Meppen spinners with over 100 varieties. You can also find leisure gear, hiking boots, maps, gifts and souvenir.

Reception for camping and cottages and tourist information can be found inside the store. The café includes dining facilities and on the menu you will find amongst other "Salma salmon", elgkarbonader, sautéed reindeer and chicken. We also have family pizzas, hamburgers, hot dogs and fries. Snacks such as web karbonade sandwiches, salad plate, porridge and fresh buttered baquette. The café is fully licensed and has an agreement with a German brewery. In the shop we have beer sales. Wireless internet access in both the shop and cafe.

campground

We have sunny and attractive green spaces with great views. The campground has 120 power outlets and plenty of space for campers, caravans and tents. We have around 40 wagons are with us all year.

Middle of the square at the new sanitary building there is a paved area, especially for campers. Foremost on the space we have mini-pitch / multipath on 8x16 meters of sports floors. Mid campsite we have a large playground with trampoline and fine play sets. We have barbecue and patio with barbecue facilities. Back at camp we have a large area that is well suited to larger tent groups. There are also washing facilities for cars. The whole area is fully developed and has nice green areas with great views. The facility is maintained throughout the summer.

Our chalets and appartements

With us you get accommodation in high-standard cabins and apartments with 3-4 bedrooms + loft and room for 6-12 people. We have large capacity and different categories. Choose between 9 Sørlia apartments, 3 Fjellro cabins, Holberget, Lysebu, Knausen or Trollhø. All located in the same area. At Randsverk you will find Tronhus, where we have 2 cabins.

Ridderspranget

5 km from Randsverk find Ridderspranget. Through Ridderspranget surging river Sjoa with freezing glacial lake from Gjende and Jotunheimen. Gujrat is hardly 2,5 meters at its narrowest, but the mountain is smooth so you should walk with care. Please note hedges that are set up. Several tracks in wild landscape both above and below Ridderspranget. Take the time to read the legend of Sigvat from Kvie and swathes Vang Sola on the board at the parking lot.

Activities

We offer you an active vacation, and live where the activities are. On Randsverk we offer plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities. With us as a starting point you can walk or cycle straight into the wild on forest roads and trails. You can take a rafte- or kayak, try climbing park, horseback riding or fishing for trout. In the evening we offer moose. In the fall of even 15.9. it is small game hunting in Langmorkje State Common and Jotunheim National Park. We provide guided kayaking and rafting trips and summit of the mountain with glacier. We also rent out canoes and bicycles and sell fishing and hunting licenses.

Randsverk is not only a place for lots of activities. With us you can find peace and recreation.

In winter you can ski in / ski out to both alpine as cross country.
