Jotunheimen Feriesenter

Jotunheimen Holiday Center is located at the foot of Jotunheimen in scenic surroundings. Excellent starting point for rafting in Sjoa, hiking over Besseggen or to Glittertind / Galdhøpiggen, as well as trips to Vestlandan e.g. to Geiranger.

Jotunheimen Feriesenter is located at the top of Heidal with medieval old farms Kruke and near Vågå with its medieval church.

Jotunheimen Feriesenter has 16 cabins (cat. B, C, D) with i.a. shower / WC, tulip fireplace and TV. The campsite has 90 power outlets for caravans and motorhomes in designated places.

There is a sanitary facility of a good standard, a separate barbecue kitchen with barbecue food and a common living room with TV lounge.

To get to Jotunheimen Feriesenter you can drive the E6, take the Sjoa, 30 km. up RV 257, towards Heidal / Randsverk. From Valdresflya (RV 51) you drive to Randsverk and drive 2 km. down RV 257, towards Heidal / Sjoa. From Lom, drive RV 15 towards Vågå, follow the signs to Valdresflya / Randsverk (RV51), at Randsverk take RV 257 towards Heidal / Sjoa.

Cabins

Jotunheimen Feriesenter has 16 cabins of various categories. 4 cabins are large, well equipped with i.a. shower / WC, tulip fireplace and TV. 7 cabins are two-bedroom with 4 beds, sofa, / coffee table and with dormitory stove and complete kitchen utensils. The rest of the cabins are of a simple standard. One room with sofa / coffee table, refrigerator, hob, plates and cutlery. There is a lack of cookware and frying pans. All cabins have a patio / veranda with benches. All cabins have duvets and pillows, bed linen can be rented from us.

Camping

Jotunheimen Feriesenter holds approximately 100 units total. It is 90 outlet (220v). Sanitary facilities of good standard and there is a washer and dryer for rent. The campground has a TV lounge, grill kitchen, groceries and playground m / trampoline.

Activities

mountain tours Jotunheimen is an excellent starting point for walks in the woods or in the mountains. It is close to famous destinations like Besseggen, Glittertid and Galdhøpiggen.I vicinity there are great hiking with stier.Fra campsite can also run day trips to Geiranger and Trollstigen.

Rafting Sjoa is one of the world's most famous rivers for water sports. Several rafting companies are located in the area. Other activities these companies can offer are glacier hiking, cave hiking, canyoning and family rafting. We can arrange contact with companies that take you on such experiences.

Fishing There are many opportunities for fishing in rivers and lakes in the surrounding area. Ask at reception for good tips. NB! It requires a fishing license for most water / rivers. We have fishing rods for rent.

Horse Riding There are opportunities for full- and half-day trips on horseback. These take place in stunning scenery in Heidal, in mountainous terrain beneath Heidalsmuen and over Saukampen, with a view to both Rondane and Jotunheimen. For individuals or groups.

Cross-country and downhill skiing Wintertime is a short way to Lemonsjøen Resort. Where it runs for both beginners and trained. The resort is also a good starting point for cross-country skiing.

miniature golf course Jotunheimen Feriesenter 9 hole miniature golf courses, see info. At the campsite there are large areas where you can play football, volleyball, badminton, etc. There is also a separate playground for children with some stand and trampoline.
