Besseggen - A fantastic hike in Jotunheimen
Walking across Besseggen is one of the most popular hikes in Norway, but it will be no less fantastic experience for that reason.
This is a trip that not only gives you a beautiful view of Jotunheimen National Park, but it is also an opportunity to challenge your own height horror.
There is parking at Gjendesheim and cafeteria here may prove to be a beacon and motivator if you get a bit tired towards the end of the trip. The view after coming up the steepest section is simply amazing! Forget all means not turning up to enjoy the view towards Gjende and the Gjende Alps.
When you go over the edge, it is so narrow that you have to cooperate with those who may come against, but it is only helping to make it even more spectacular.
If you have a real fiery competitive spirit we can mention that the record of Memurubu Gjendesheim is over 50 years old, and is the 1.16.48 ...
Good trip!
