Bornes Camping

In a scenic setting 40 km north of Kristiansand, you will find a small modern campsite with all amenities. We have the opportunity for summer, winter and year-round camping, with pitches snugly located.

Bornes Camping is very family friendly. Here you can rest assured that the children can enjoy football, explore the forest, water sports or swim at our small sandy beach. The space is intimate and clear, so parents will be able to relax while having the kids right nearby.

Bornes Camping has a communal kitchen with cooking facilities, washing facilities and room for cleaning fish. There are kettles, pots, cutlery, cooking facilities, refrigerators in all cabins and apartments.

We have a kiosk that sells various goods such as: snacks, ice cream, soft drinks, hygiene products and other small goods. In addition, we have a menu of various hot dishes.

There are tables and chairs inside the common room and outside. Inside, there is also great TV for people who want to watch it.

We have power for most tents and campers.

WIFI is free, you will get a password if you contact the administration.

The cabins 1-3

Cabin 1 - 3 does not have water, but has cooking facilities. There are pillows and duvets in all cabins, but no linens. All cabins have 3-4 beds and a small terrace.

The cabins 4-8

Cottage 4 - 8 has water, cooking facilities and a private terrace. The cabins have 3 beds. These are located 30-40 meters from the water's edge, near the playground. There are duvets and pillows but no linens.

Cabins 9A and 9B

Cabin 9a is our largest cabin. This one has in-water, own toilet and shower. The cottage has 2 bedrooms with 5 beds, living room, kitchenette and TV.

Fishing

Bornes Camping is idyllically located along the Kilefjord. There are amazing fishing opportunities here. For most of the year it is almost impossible to look at the fjord without seeing a fish jump. Contact us and we recommend fine fishing spots.

Canoe rentals

The Kilefjord is perfect for canoeing. In the quiet and tranquil fjord there are a number of small islets where you can bring swimwear, barbecue and fishing gear. Canoeing increases the chance of seeing the great fish eagles that there are several in the area.

Recreation

From Bornes Camping you can go on great bike rides. You can either cycle along the main road or mile after mile on beautiful forest roads. The hike can go along rivers and through peaceful forests. Bornes Camping is a perfect place for cycling tourists. Use the campsite as a starting point for your bike ride or stop with us along the way to charge the batteries to the next stage. We of course assist with advice on the various tours. It is safe to have a bike with us. We can lock them in if you wish. Three hikes are arranged from the communal building. Right up the slope, 3 km away, there are even more great hiking trails. In winter there are ski runs here. Ask us for advice!
