Neset Camping

Neset Camping is a 4-star campsite that is quietly and beautifully situated on a headland out in the 40 km long Byglandsfjord.

The site is located by Rv 9 in lower Setesdal, 13 km north of Evje. We have 31 camping cabins for rent in addition to over 200 pitches with electricity and cable TV connection for those who want this.

Neset Camping has its own colonial shop, and there is also beer of class D. In the high season, the place's cafe is open.

Cabins

Cabins: We have 31 camping cabins in different sizes and designs. All cottages have a fridge, hob and outdoor furniture. The cabins have a simple standard.

Cabins with shower / WC: Do you want higher comfort with plenty of space and a private bathroom? Then we have three comfortable cabins. The cabins are well equipped and here you can combine the charm of the campsite with high book comfort

Badeliv

The campsite has approx. 1600 m shoreline with good bathing opportunities from sandy beaches, or via water slide into deep water.

Byglandsfjord often competes with Nesbyen to be the hottest place in Norway, and the bathing water tends to warm from 18 to 23 degrees every year. Our child-friendly bathing place has a sandy bottom and most importantly for families with children - it is shallow. Here the children will be able to play in safe conditions. For the larger and swimable we have a water trampoline and a small water slide

Skip Pillow

Our large bouncy pillow is a gathering place for children and young people. Here they can jump far safer than on a trampoline.

Rambling

There are various marked trails in the area. We arrange moose safaris and guarantee you will see moose. Minimum 6 people. In nearby areas there are several opportunities to look for different minerals yourself, and Evje Mineral Path is specially designed for this. One can also visit the local museum which has several local, rich mineral collections on display.

Climbing and rafting tours are also offered in the area.

Boat rental

The Byglandsfjord is about 20 km long and fishy. You can rent a rowboat, boat with motor, canoe and kayak. There are several nice excursion destinations nearby.

The entire watercourse provides good fishing opportunities, and in addition to the trout you have good chances of catching the special Byglandsfjord bleach, which is dwarfed and only found there. For those who want it, we can also offer the possibility of fishing with nets in certain areas. In several mountain lakes you can solve your own fishing license and try for the big trout.
