Oppmyre Camping

Oppmye Camping is located in Øksnes municipality in Vesterålen, idyllically close to the sea, with a fantastic view of the mountains and fjord.

Many of our guests have come, really just for one night, but have been so fascinated by the nature and the view, that they have stayed both one and two weeks. Here at Oppmyre Camping, we set up a campsite where you can relax and enjoy the silence and nature at your own pace. Here with us, we want you to feel "a bit" at home, and manage your day yourself, without fuss and stress.

We have 2 rooms and 2 cabins with cable tv for rent. Pets are only allowed in our cottage for two people. With little activity in the winter, it is so that those who want and rent a cabin or room, can only do this per. tel. On our booking page, they will appear as rented.

The kitchen with all its facilities, is at the disposal of all our guests. We also have a cozy tv living room with a beautiful view over the sea. The living room can of course be used by everyone at the campsite. Our sanitary facilities have 4 private bathrooms, and a separate sink / dryer, where you can rent a washing machine and dryer. There are also two simple toilet rooms.

Activities

Here you can rent a boat, and try your luck at fishing, or just wander around the skerries, to visit one or more tourist attractions that can be found on several of the islands in the relative vicinity of the campsite.

It is also possible to rent a bike to travel a bit around, for example to Nyksund with its wild nature and location, or to Stø with whale watching and the hiking trail "Dronning ruta" which is widely known. A trip to Alsvåg at the Museum is also worth taking.  

If you want a trip on foot, there are several great hiking trails nearby, and for the "shoppers" it is a nice walk to Myre center. We are helpful with most things, and we will try to make your stay with us as memorable as possible. 

For those who like to stroll around with the camera in hand, there is a rich selection of birds and animals near the campsite, so here you can get many "flash shots".
