Bardal Camping

Welcome to Bardal Camping in Leirfjord, a peaceful place in the middle of most beautiful Helgeland. We invite you to enjoy the summer sun and beautiful Bardal with us!

The main attraction at Bardal Camping is fishing, boat rentals and other activities related to fjords and mountains. There are good fishing spots near the campsite, both in the fjord and in the Bardalselva approx. 5 minutes walk from the campsite.

There are several nice campfires along the fjord that are easily accessible by boat, or you can head to Borgen, a special old cabin located on a mountain shelf. about 30 minutes walk from the campsite.

You can also walk to Wangbrygga which is by the river about 5 minutes walk from the campsite. Wangbrygga is an old pier where there was a shop in the old days, the pier today functions as a museum and resturant, with fantastic good food. On Friday evenings there is also a pub on the pier. The pier is open Thursday to Sunday, from 1/6 to 31/8.

From the floating dock, it is easy to get on and off the boat. You can fish from the bow on the floating dock. It is free and freezes down the fish at the campsite.

There are forests and mountains all around us, with lots of moose. So if fishing is not tempting, there are many opportunities for a forest trip or a hike in the mountains. Or you can go the round as we call it here in the village, a walk of about 3 kilometers, it runs along the Bardal River and around the village.

The campsite also has a small shop where you can buy soft drinks, ice cream and other goodies.

The campsite has 3 boats for rent. There is free internet at the campsite.
