Rallarvegen - Norway's most popular cycle route

Rallarvegen is one of Norway's most popular cycling routes. The road extends through an impressive and varied terrain from Haugastøl to Myrdal and then further down towards Flåm.

In total, the road is 82 km, and 21 hairpin turns will be passed on the way down to Flåm on the Aurlandsfjord.

The Rallarvegen was built around 1900 in conjunction with the construction of the Bergen railway. Rallartida lasted in Norway from the 1870s to the 1920s. Rallar was often used about Swedish workers who worked at railway facilities.
