Welcome to Songnabben Camping
Songnabben Camping is a small and pleasant family campsite, by Fv 24 right up to Lake Storsjøen in Nord-Odal Municipality and Hedmark county.
The nearest village is Sand (Sagstua) which is 7 km away and it is about 11 kilometer to Skarnes. Oslo Airport, Hamar, Oslo and the Swedish border are all about an hour's drive away.
The parish has been in operation for many years, the first wagons came into place here as early as the 1970 century. Today we have about 100 spacious caravan spaces. Of these, around 75 are fixed.
The campsite is open from 1.may to 15 September, but there is most traffic from 20.juni to 15.August. In addition to tents and caravans, we have 5 cabins of simple standard, without toilet and shower. We have two service houses. Here you will find a toilet, shower room, handicap room, family room, kitchen and solarium.
We have about 400 meters of shoreline, and parts of it have sandy beach. At the bathing beach it is, at normal water level, very shallow and great for the little ones. Every summer we have temperatures between 20 and 25 degrees.
The Great Lake otherwise offers many beautiful little islands, with islets and reefs and small secluded beaches all around. There are also a large number of fish species in the sea, but there are mainly perch and pike in the catch. Otherwise there is a protected wetland area with a bustling bird life vis a vis the campsite.
At the reception / kiosk we can offer a selection of groceries, as well as regular kiosk products. We also bake baguettes to order.
We have charter boats, rowboats and canoes for hire. Reminds us that it is mandatory with a vest for everyone in the boat. Of course we have that in the kiosk if you are missing.
There is a nine hole mini golf course and soccer field on site. In addition, there are two playgrounds and here there is a trampoline, slides, swings and a sandbox.
Our cabins are of a simple standard without showers and showers, but the service house with all facades is located right behind the cabins. Cabin # 1 to 4 has two rooms.
In the bedroom there are 2 x bunk beds, the living room has corner sofa, table and a small kitchen counter.
In cabin 3 and 4 there is also space for kitchen tables and chairs.
In the cabins there are hobs, refrigerators, duvets, pillows and kettles, as well as cabin cleaning equipment. Other kitchenware can be borrowed at the kiosk. We mainly do not want dogs or other pets in our cabins.
The cabins are only rented in the period 15.may to 1 September.
The cabins are left cleaned before 12.00, unless otherwise agreed.
