Camping in Sweden has always been popular among Norwegians. Now you have the opportunity to secure a season place for next year in beautiful Årjäng. Here is a selection of campsites that are ready to receive coronal Norwegians in 2021.

Just across the national border between Norway and Sweden, there are campsites for those who want a permanent place all season. The pitches can offer seasonal pitches for all tastes. In Årjäng municipality alone, there are 7 campsites with a rich selection of varied seasonal pitches. Many of the places in the Värmland region are located in scenic areas. The campsites are of varying size and standard, and here you will find everything from 5-star luxury camping to seasonal camps with a wilderness character. A seasonal place provides a unique opportunity to have a permanent place to return to year after year. Therefore, start planning next year's camping life right now, and secure yourself a great place for next year. Sommarvik Årjäng Camping & Cottages

A large proportion of Norwegians have already found their way to Sommarvik, and with good reason. At this five-star campsite you can rent seasonal space in an environment with pool, sandy beach, children's play areas, restaurant and modern common areas. The family camping, which is open all year round, is located on a sandy beach by Lake Västra Silen, and in 2020 was named "Best campsite for families with children 2020" by the Great Children's Holiday Award. In 2021, they will open 8 new seasonal pitches, in addition to the 200 existing plots. On their website you can see a complete overview of available places and prices.

Ekeby Camping

Ekeby camping can tempt with a relaxing atmosphere close to the water and the forest. Here you can unwind and enjoy the silence and tranquility of the surrounding nature, try your hand at the obstacle course or relax on the sandy beach nearby. The child-friendly campsite Sandaholm Camping is located next to Glaskogen's nature reserve, golf course and trotting track in Årjäng. The campsite has large green areas and a shallow sandy beach that is perfect for children.

Elovsbyn Camping

By the lake Foxen, in Lennartsfors, is the small nature campsite Elovsbyn Camping. Here you can enjoy nature and tranquility, and the conditions are well suited for canoeing and kayaking on the water. Lake Foxen is part of the sea system Dalslandskanal and here you can even paddle into Norway.

Camp Grinsby Camp

Grinsby has a beautiful location by the lake Stora Bör. Here, most of the plots have sea views, and the area around the campsite has a wilderness character with nice hiking and biking trails, and good conditions for swimming, canoeing and fishing.

Järnsjöns Camping

On a small promontory by Järnsjöen in Sillerud you will find the campsite with the same name as the lake. A pleasant and family-friendly campsite with good bathing conditions and scenic surroundings.

Töcksfors camping

The small, seaside and charming campsite Töcksfors Camping is located at the north end of Lake Foxen, which is part of Dalsland's canal. The place is a good starting point for cycling, fishing and canoeing on the beautiful water system. It is also not a long way to shopping and restaurants in Töcksfors. The campsite has 5 seasonal pitches available for next year.

Something for everyone

Årjäng can tempt with more than just nice campsites, the municipality can also offer many great and attractive experiences. In total, there are over 1000 lakes and 300 km of hiking trails in the area. In addition, we find one of Sweden's largest border trade centers in Töcksfors, not far from the border. The Dalsland Canal water system, one of Europe's most beautiful waterways, also extends through the municipality. A boat trip through the locks in the canal offers an unforgettable experience.
